New office, no cat and dogs

Have you ever moved to a new office? Moving to a new inspiring office is a great thing to do.
When I joined Three Mountains in April 2023, they said they were about to move to a new office because the team was growing. They had searched for quite a long time and finally had found a new office in Kimironko. It is at Isangano village near the Tusker Bar KG 83 st opposite Gabriela.
To be honest, I did not see the point of it, because I thought the office they had was quite OK. It had a great garden, two friendly office dogs, and a cat that slept behind my computer or on my chair when I arrived in the morning. I love cats, so I was happy.
But still, Monday, May 8th, 2023 we all went with a laptop and a big screen on our lap in the car, up to our new office. Over the weekend, Gerry and Jan Willem had already moved chairs, tables, and kitchen materials, so we could have just set ourselves behind a table and started working. But of course, that is not what happened. We spent all morning reshuffling tables and chairs and cupboards, to find an arrangement that everyone felt comfortable with. It was fun! Everyone was so involved that we took lunch only at 3 pm!
And then, finally, I could set myself down and look around. Wow! What a good place this was!
Much more space than in the old office. We even have two rooms and a side building left for sub-letting. In the garden, there is space for several outdoor work and meeting places. We have a tall table for people who want to work standing. And best of all, we have an outstanding training/ meeting room which can host up to 18 people. It has good chairs and trapezoid tables. With these tables, you can make all sorts of sitting plans.
So I spend time moving tables and adapting the table shape to the number of people in the room.
In short, it is an outstanding office. It is located in a safe place free from noise and disturbances. Although I’m missing the cat from the old office, I’m enjoying the new office!
